Despite stylish visuals that could have benefited from HDR, 'Boy Kills World' fails to carve a distinctive identity, making the 1080p version sufficient. Boy Kills World in 4K UHD showcases an HEVC/H.265 encoded 2160p transfer in 2.39:1, delivering a digital capture that mildly improves on the 1080 version's detail. However, the absence of HDR limits dynamic range, particularly in shadowy scenes, despite exceptional close-up clarity and a consistent palette.
